Pastiche I Shivaan Makker I United States

After a home invasion, a depressed father must save his family, or they'll be premiered in the prime time news.

I am the writer and director of Pastiche. The stories I tell are of very dark subject matter taken directly from reality. They involve psychopathic/sociopathic villains that stop at nothing to fulfill their violent fantasies. Like my hero, Alfred Hitchcock, I believe that cinema is the safest place to experience fear as the audience ultimately feels safe behind the silver screen. After such a thrill, they can be fully aware of the brutal existence of evil.

Pastiche is a film about copycats. It’s an imitation of non-fiction & fiction with a metaphysical touch. The villains, Sidney Loren and Katherine Cagney are character composites taken from real-life serial killers such as John Wayne Gacy, the Toolbox Killers, Paul Bernardo, Karla Homolka, plus more. The crimes they commit are scenes copied from movies. Ultimately, their goal is to get famous for their heinous crimes and be listed with names such as Eric Harris & Dylan Klebold, James Holmes, or even serial murderers like Ted Bundy. They want to be remembered for what they did. It boils down to their name and the reputation it brings with all of its infamies. They have one goal, and it’s their violent fantasy.

Pastiche is a limited series and this is the first part. Hope you enjoy it & Lock your doors!
